Happy New Year!
May God bless you abundantly! It is an honour to introduce myself to you. My name is Sandra King, a servant of Christ, born in New Zealand, who has dedicated 30 years of my life to missionary work in China. During these three decades, I have had the privilege of living among and sharing the love of Jesus with countless people, preparing 670 children for adoption—more than half of whom were healthy girls, and the rest were boys with disabilities.
The Holy Spirit also inspired me to write about my experiences and testimonies of faith, which are captured in three books: The Call to China, The Mission to China, and The Blessings of China. These books, written in three different languages, are sold to raise funds for orphanages. They contain accounts of remarkable miracles, stories of people who found hope and salvation, and testimonies of God’s boundless grace. In essence, they share profound lessons I have learned while walking with the Father through challenges, joys, and sorrows.
In 2024, the Heavenly Father assigned me a new mission in Africa. Between June and August of that year, I lived in Kampala, Uganda, where, together with a board of people from New Zealand, we established a company called A Kiwi’s House of Aroha Ltd, which later became an NGO with charitable status. Our primary goal is to build a home to shelter elderly people and children who are homeless. These individuals will be referred by the government, which will provide the necessary authorisations to accommodate them and offer them a safe haven. Our main mission is to support the community by caring for homeless children. To achieve this, we plan to build a dedicated facility, which will include a much-needed health centre to serve the area.
Goals for the Coming Years
-
Providing cottages for the elderly:
- Men will work on the land, carrying out gardening, repairs, and carpentry to meet housing needs and manage general maintenance tasks. While they work, they will also teach young people these skills for the future.
- Women will live in the cottages and take on responsibilities such as laundry, cooking, cleaning, and supporting the facility's general operations. Like the men, they will teach young girls how to manage these tasks.
- Healthcare for children: Currently, children must travel six hours by bus to reach the nearest hospital. We aim to build a care centre on-site, staffed with hired specialists to meet their healthcare needs.
- Volunteering and training: Volunteers will engage in various activities, including teaching farming, construction, literacy, basic care, and addressing immediate needs. These volunteers will be provided with accommodation, meals, and an allowance for their service.
My primary aim is to inspire and strengthen the faith of God’s people, demonstrating how the love of Jesus can transform lives, even in the most remote corners of the world. I firmly believe that my life testimony can be a source of encouragement and spiritual renewal for everyone.
