From China to New Zealand: A Life's Twist

Homecoming Journey

I returned back to China on the 14 June and I gave 3 months notice to the government that I would leave in September. We make the plans but the Lord changes them.I spent the first month cleaning the House of Grace. I employed two ladies to help me clean the house from top to bottom. Just after that, I had chest pains and had fallen in the street. Sadly, people passed me by and no one stopped to help me. I had asked a few of my friends what they thought about this, and they were really worried about me and said that they thought that I should go home because there is no one in China that could really help me and look after me.

So it was obvious that I should go home.I left China in a wheelchair because my left leg was sore and it was hard to walk the long distance to the gate at the airport in Guangzhou. I went straight back to NZ. I’m really sorry that I didn’t have time to contact anybody because I really had to just look after myself.Upon arrival in Auckland airport, George Lawson, Ruth, Char-Le and Margaret came to meet me as well as Sally and Mike who had come from Tauranga.

It was a lovely welcoming committee. Right now I am living at my son’s house and looking for accommodation. I have already been back 3 weeks and I have been cleared by the doctor who says that I just need to rest. I was really happy to be here for Ruth’s 21st dinner with the whole family. It is very hard to believe that she is turning 21. We all had fun.I would still like to keep in touch with the children that have been adopted so please keep me updated.
